Yes, the app is free to download and use. Some advanced features may require watching a short ad to unlock temporarily, such as increasing the favorites limit or expanding the media selection limit.
First, set up a PIN in Settings > Privacy & Security. Then long-press any photo or video, select it, tap the menu button, and choose "Move to Private". The item will be secured in your private vault and will no longer appear in the public gallery.
If you've set up a security question during initial setup, you can use it to reset your PIN. On the PIN entry screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and answer your security question to create a new PIN. We recommend setting up both a PIN and a security question for maximum security.
No. Private media files are stored within the app's internal storage. If you uninstall the app or clear app data, all private files will be permanently deleted. Always restore your private files back to the public gallery before uninstalling the app.
Open the Recycle Bin from the side menu or Settings. You'll see all your recently deleted items. Select the ones you want to recover and tap "Restore". The items will be moved back to your gallery. Note that items may be permanently deleted after some time depending on your device's storage management.
The collage maker supports up to 9 photos at a time. Simply select between 2 and 9 photos, tap the Collage button, and choose your preferred layout.
Yes, the app includes a video trimmer that lets you cut and trim your videos directly within the video player. However, advanced video editing features like filters and effects are not currently supported.
Go to Settings > Language. You'll see a list of 30+ supported languages. Tap your preferred language and the app interface will update immediately. The app remembers your language choice for future sessions.
Yes! Go to Settings > Theme and choose between Light, Dark, or System Default. The dark theme is perfect for nighttime browsing and helps save battery on OLED displays. The System Default option will automatically follow your device's theme settings.
Open any photo in full-screen preview, tap the menu button (three dots), and select "Set as Wallpaper". You can choose to set it on your Home Screen, Lock Screen, or both. You can also browse our online wallpaper collection from the side menu for more options.
Yes! Select one or more photos, tap the menu, and choose "Convert to PDF". The PDF will be saved to your device. You can then preview it, share it, or open it with other apps. Note that videos cannot be converted to PDF.

The app is ad-supported to remain free. You may see banner ads, interstitial ads, and native ads. Some premium features can be accessed by watching short rewarded video ads. We strive to keep ads non-intrusive while maintaining the best user experience.
The app requires storage permissions to access and manage your photos and videos. On Android 10 and above, it uses scoped storage for better privacy and security. Biometric permission is needed if you choose to enable fingerprint or face unlock for the private vault.
Currently, Gallery Photo Album is available exclusively for Android devices. We don't have plans for iOS or desktop versions at this time, but we're always evaluating user feedback to improve our offerings.
